Your Child Is in Great Hands

Blue Hoots offers a flexible childcare for children from 3 months to 5 years between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm term time in line with Worcestershire County Council Term dates. . We encourage parents to use minimum of 2 days per week as it has been proven to make separation anxiety easier. 

 

Our funding is able to be claimed between the hours of 8:30am-4:00pm. We operate from 7:30am-5:30pm term time only. If you require childcare 7:30-8:30am this is payable and our tea time session of 4:00pm-5:30pm is also payable. Our current rate is £8.00 per hour

 

Funding is allocated for 38 weeks a year however we do open for 39 weeks a year. There is one week of non funding where your child can attend but hours attended during this week would be payable. This week usually falls in the last week of the Summer term and you will be asked to indicate whether you would like your child to attend during this week on your admission form.

Blue Hoots philosophy is to maintain a warm and welcoming environment for every child, for each child to feel safe, secure, valued, respected and happy and to have the opportunities to learn through play. We aim to provide children with stimulating and enjoyable activities and equipment. We strive to ensure that the children are given the opportunity to develop self-expression, self-respect and respect for others, self-reliance and self-esteem, through their play and learning experiences.

Rating: Good

  • Staff place a high priority on promoting children's communication, listening and attention skills through their interactions. Staff plan well for the varying ages of children to help ensure activities are appropriate and motivating.

  •   Overall, staff establish good relationships with parents. They include them in their children's learning and value their feedback and suggestions. Parents are very complimentary about the pre-school and the support they receive.

  • ​Children benefit from plenty of opportunities to explore and gain new skills in this well-resourced learning environment

  •   Staff provide a calm, nurturing, relaxed environment where children feel safe and at ease. Children form close relationships with dedicated staff and confidently seek them out to join them in their play. The sensitive interactions by each key person positively supports children's emotional well-being.
